DCTC hires Kelly Boe to lead the Blue Knights Basketball program

Kelly Boe begins his first year with the Blue Knights men's basketball coaching staff, and brings 20 years of college coaching experience to the program.

Boe was the eighth head coach in the history of the men's basketball program at Concordia University, St. Paul a NCAA Division II member.

Prior to being named head coach of Golden Bear basketball in the summer of 2006, Boe spent the previous two years as the top assistant coach at Concordia. Prior to Concordia, Boe spent three successful NCAA Division II assistant coaching runs with St. Cloud State University (1997-99), Minnesota State University, Mankato (2001-03) and Concordia University (2004-06). In between his first two NCAA DII stints, Boe had a two-year stop at Madison Area Technical College, where he was an assistant for one season before taking over as head coach and guiding the squad to a Wisconsin Technical College League title in the 2000-01 season.

Boe has a master's degree in sports management from St. Cloud State and a Bachelor of Science in Education/Sports Management from St. John's University, graduating from SJU in 1996.
